My Aunty asked me to make her a gift she could give to her granddaughter. We decided a make-up box would be a good choice. She didnt want any form of compartments inside though as they are unlikely to be used. It was best to just have one large space. 

I wanted to make it stand out somehow and I decided a custom inlay would be perfect. I have a YouTube video showing how I made it here:

It is a very simple mitred box. For the inlay I used: Yellow Heart for the hair, Padauk for the lips, Purple Heart for the finger nails and black Milliput (epoxy putty) for the details and outline of the hand, face and boarder. I like how the black outline and boarder kind of give it a pop art effect. I think the inlay is the main part of the project. I hope you like it :)
