Sandpaper Cabinet

author-gravatar Sean Jul 09, 2015

With my current sandpaper storage solution a mess, I needed to build a basic sandpaper cabinet to keep my sheets and discs organized. Using 1/2 inch and 1/4 inch plywood, I was able to design a simple solution.

The case is joined together using the housing joint and the dividers are seated in dado grooves.

The removable horizontal dividers makes this cabinet pretty flexible in regards to what I can store in it.

Using 2' by 2' half inch and quarter inch plywood.

I joined the case using the housing joint.

The half inch plywood I used wasn't exactly half an inch which required me to use (3) 1/8 inch dado blades and (1) 3/32 inch dado blade in my stack. I also had to use shims to make it a perfect fit.

With all of the joinery drawn out to help keep track.
