My sister-in-law loves all things pigs. She has quite a collection. But, apparently, she does not have a pig cutting board! So we made this for her. My wife is an artist and drew the pig onto the 12x16 cutting board that I glued up last night out of Maple and Sapele. I cut it out mostly on the band-saw then used the oscillating spindle sander to finish the edges. The insets were all routed out with my Bosch Colt handheld router. I got this router over a year ago and never used it. I absolutely love it! Very easy to set up and control with high precision. I probably should have use an exacto knife to define all of the lines before cutting like you do with inlay but it turned out well anyway. 

Finished in food safe mineral oil. 

The hole in the ear is to hang it.
