Play Kitchen

I decided to make a play kitchen for my kid for Christmas. Went a little overboard but I didnt buy any wood for the project, all scrap!

This is with the light off (notice the rocker switch on the right by the three knobs). I spliced in some wires to an LED puck light and put in a rocker switch. The light is mounted inside the cabinet with screws, but I can twist the cap off to change batteries if needed.

The light is on! What is an oven without a light!

There is also a very small drawer (like the oven we have at home) under the oven door.

The carcass made of BC 3/4 ply that I had laying around in the basement. The black rack is a cooling tray for cookies. (made a mistake in the dado of one of the boards, that I ended up fixing).

The face frame (also scrap wood) clamped on. Not my best work as I didnt really think everything through, but good enough for a first go around.

Doors (the one with white on it is the oven door. I covered the plexiglass with paper while painting.

First coat! The white side will end being painted with Chalkboard paint so one can draw on the side of the cabinet!
