The idea came from an older issue of Wood Magazine. I think the dark wood is cumaru (?), it came mixed in with a stack of ipe but is darker,  more handsome, and almost as hard as the ipe. I wish I had more of it.  The mulberry came from my property. Final weight: 22oz.  #mallet #awl #cumaru #mulberry
