I started with a piece of ¾" plywood and notched it about ⅝" it was fairly flexible at that point so I nailed/glued it to the back panel to form it's shape then I glued a piece of 3/16 plywood on the inside to cover the notches. It was all made from scrap or reclaimed wood that I had laying around.

What technique did you use to bend it? It looks like you notched the wood too. Steam?
