This was originally a Broyhill Coffee Table my wife got at a Facebook garage sale with a 3' x3' Painted MDF Top.  After redoing the hardwood floors my wife decided she wanted to redo the top in dark stained wood.

The new top is 40" by 40" out of 1x Select pine.  I had a little tearout while smoothing the top going against the grain, but I decided to leave it to give it a more rustic look once stained.
