The Kenosha King Fish Ring Toss Game Kiosk

author-gravatar againstthegrain Jun 03, 2017

This Kenosha, WI King Fish baseball stadium Bobble Head game kiosk was constructed with a wonderful collection of reclaimed materials from southeastern Wisconsin. The grain bin was salvaged from Rossi Farms, Inc. in Bristol, WI, just nine miles west of where you’re standing! The fantastically reimagined wood that forms the counter surface around the game was reclaimed from the Wells Building in downtown Kenosha.  They manufactured wire for springs used in Simmons mattresses, also manufactured here in Kenosha. The Wells Building was more than 120 years old when removed in 2015! The awesome wood that the Kingfish Bobble Heads are resting on came from the an old grain mill from a farm in Caledonia, WI. It's a fantastic piece of history and hope you appreciate the imagination, collaboration, and innovation it took to bring this unique venue to life!

The transport process was almost as difficult as the project itself!

We had to rent a crane to transport the kiosk across town to the Kenosha King Fish Baseball stadium!

It was quite a process getting the kiosk from our shop, to the baseball stadium!

Strapped up to the trailer and ready for the road!

Once we arrived to the stadium and successfully lowered the kiosk, large stakes were used to stabilize and secure it into the ground.
