Installing The Hinges
We finally get around to installing the brass hinges! For my walnut box I chose the Brusso JB-101 hinges which have a 95 degree positive stop to keep the lid open. They are really nice hinges but are not the only hinges you can use. Any hinge will work and my installation methods will work for any hinge. I use the Lee Valley Veritas small router plane and a chisel to hog out the mortise for the hinge.
