Very nice! I have been toying with brass inlay lately. I found it sands very easily with a power sander. In fact, I was struggling with 45 degree angles for brass inlay into a picture frame and finally realized if I set my oscillating sander table to 45 degrees I could very quickly just sand the corners to 45. I imagine a shooting board would work as well.
I have been looking at the dominos since my biscuit jointer hasn't been working lately. Maybe for my birthday!
Once I had it filed down enough it sanded flush really easily. I don't have a belt sander or a sanding table. Sounds like you have it figured out on the miters!
From my limited use on the Domino it's going to be fantastic to have around. Highly recommend
I have a nice piece of Cherry that has too many cracks within the wood to use it for anything but I think I will make this board out of it. Great job thanks for the ideas!
It's a great project to practice some things that might be valuable on another project. Good luck!
@Sean Thanks. It's a little pricey, but a little bit goes a long way. I apply it with a white scotch brite pad and it works pretty well.
SimpleCove is the best place to share stuff like this if you want to get in depth. Instagram gives you a quick fix, but is shallow, and Reddit is where posts go to die. Keep making this site amazing! I smell a mobile app in your future haha
100% i'm going to have a mobile app in 2020(hopefully haha). Thanks man.

That's a nice looking alignment board! I went years without one and now that I have one I wish I would have made one earlier. Super handy and makes the dovetailing process so much faster and more accurate. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Sean. It was a fun little project to do. Now I just need to put it to use!
You chiseled the tennons down? Did you plane flush after?
I used a saw first, but at the time I didn't have a flush cut saw so I stayed pretty far away from the bench. That left quite a bit of material to chip away at with my chisels and when I got them reasonably flush I used my plane to finish them off.
