This walnut bed with ash slats is an original design featuring bent laminated beams that support the bed and tie the legs together. The dual curved floating headboards were made with poplar bending ply and shop-sawn veneer that tilt back at 15-degrees to create a comfortable place to lean against while sitting in bed. The walnut is local air-dried material from a farm about 30 miles from my house. I designed the bend hardware using stock components so they were unable to be seen. The finish is boiled linseed oil and a wipe on varnish.  More images can be found here:
