Live Edge Padauk Slab Desk

This is a small dorm room or small bedroom/office sized desk. I had this slab of padauk in my shop for over a year before I decided I wanted to make a small desk out of it. I decided on hard maple for the base since I wanted something light that would make the slab stand out. The joinery is completely handcut. It’s finished with shellac.
