I turned this vase when it was green and we put it on our hearth with a live plant in it on our hearth.  On night while the fireplace was burning, the vase cracked with a loud noise that made us believe the house roof cracked.  The next morning we discovered the cracking noise was my turned vase.  We made it an outside porch vase till it cracked again. Then I re turned the project fixing all the cracks. Now we have it in our foyer, sitting proud. Also see Instagram  #drjoe116
