This is my take on the classic Peg Solitaire game. The board is surrounded by a box made of Walnut and Curly Maple. The knot on the lid is filled with a pearlescent yellow epoxy to maintain a natural appearance when closed. Ninety degree hinges are used to display the interior figuring of the lid while playing the game. When closed, the lid is secured by rare earth magnets to prevent the loss of game pieces. The marbles are multicolored and made from epoxy specifically for this board. I contained the playing surface and discard tray inside to prevent the loss of pieces during play by them never leaving the box.

This game was a gift for my mother. My hope is that she will get years of enjoyment out of it and some day pass it down to a younger generation in my family.
