Humidor conversion cabinets
These ones took a while this was a set of 2 cabinets. I converted them and turned them.into humidors. This was lot of learning and patience for this one. I lined it all with Spanish ceadar, made the drawers and shelves, inlaid with walnut and on the front of all the drawers in both cabinet a I did copper leaf inlays. I also redid all the crown molding and base boards on the outside.

Looks great I think I saw some cedar lining being added. How did you get the door to seal. Looks like some sort of seal on the doors. I have trouble keeping a small box with the correct humidity. Great job!
Yeah I use some weather stripping and latches and the person who got them says it holds humidity great! As far as humidor boxes do you have a picture of how it seals? I'm currently starting to make desk top humidors
@WoodGate said:I haven't made an actual humidor yet, but I have made lots of jewelry boxes. I line and sleeve them like your box (previous to this post). I would just do that but with a cedar sleeve. Also I make the sleeves taller on the bottom and not the top. My sleeves are all friction fit with no glue used at all. My boxes are very tight and have that "swoosh" when you close them. Check my previous box projects on here.
@BlairsCustomWW said:Great looking project. I’ve been looking for the perfect or near perfect volunteer piece of furniture to repurpose as a cigar humidor. Curious what you used as your donor piece to start. - Thanks, Todd
Sorry Todd for auch a late response but it was a china cabinet set my customer found it was nothing to special.
