Reddit 2x End Of Summer Challenge
Son loves climbing, daughter loves jumping - try to kill 2 birds with one stone

The starting pile, just a few 2x4's

Yep Stud

Cut grooves along the top rail for the slats to sit in. (I ended up re cutting them to 1.5" deep when my bandsaw blade was shot and didn't want to go get a new one)

It's for him, he better help

Front legs cut with a 20 degree groove for half lap

Front leg and top rail meet quite well

Top rails re-cut to 1.5" rabbet for the slats and 3.5" for the back legs

She's helping drill the holes in the front leg for the ladder

Prepping to cut "round" tenons. I've never done round tenons before they were pretty close after i finished.

Skipped a few steps, but in between was all dry fitting, a few straight cuts and rounding edges

Big sis doesn't want to wait until I'm done

The wife wanted a step on the back after I finished assembly....

First testing after assembly.

Finished with Australian Timber Oil natural since it will live mostly outside
