A neighbor wanted me to fix a doll cradle she bought at a flea market. She wanted to give it to her 6 year old niece.  After I took it apart I realized that the wood was shot and very old and stinky.

I offered to make a brand new cradle. I used the old one for a template. It had an Early American feel to it so I just used pine. Pine sucks up poly so I used 2 coats of shellac first and then the polyurethane. My sister-in-law made the pink mattress.
