I wanted to make a Danish cord bench in a Moller Style design for some time.  I picked up some really knotty Tasmanian Blackwood that was little use for anything else due to how checked and split it was. I was pleasantly surprised at being able to get the legs out of it. The side rails I added in as I went, more for stylistic reasons but I decided against a front rail as I wanted to keep the design light.

I had some challenges with the Danish cord (being my first time) with a pretty shaky start. I learned technique on YouTube from Ed Hammond videos and Ken Burton (to a lesser extent).  

I took limited progress photos of the wood part as I was on a bit of a schedule. The joints are hand cut mortise and tenon except the side rails which are dowels as they’re mostly decorative. I hand shaped the legs with rasp, file and planes. The rails were shaped with a router for consistencies sake.
