Wanted to make the box I saw the other week for my good friend, Ben, who's expecting his first child. They're having a boy and Ben has always been one to take extreme care and enjoyment out of the process of cleaning his shoes. Thought this could be a nice keepsake for the new addition once he's older. It was a great time building this. I'm still new to much of the hand tool work so it was also a nice learning experience. All in all I'm very pleased with the outcome. Lid was shaped with my no.4 and dovetails were hand cut with the help of David Barron's jig.
