Liquor Cabinet
This is intended to be a liquor cabinet, although I suppose you could store all kinds of other stuff in there.

- Found some nice quarter sawn oak.

Getting laid out.

Marking the pins always raises my blood pressure a bit.

Hey, they fit!

Laying out the through mortises.

No. NO. NOOOOO!!! I cut the freaking mortises cut on the wrong end. I cut some squares and patched it up, then apparently mostly avoided photographing that side for the remainder of the project.

Had some t & g laying around which was pretty convenient for the back.

An exploded view of the door.

First time making/hanging a cabinet door. I really have no idea what I'm doing at this point.

It kind of fits. Just ignore the burn marks.

Mostly assembled.

Time to make the pull. Figured it would take a few tries, and was correct.

Put the harbor freight drill press through its paces. It worked...ok...

I didn't hear the "size your project to your kumiko panel" thing until too late. This made sizing and fitting the panel tricky.

Almost can't even see the patched up mortises. Almost.

Finished with boiled linseed oil and shellac.

Matchy/Matchy.
Absolutely stunning cabinet! Thank you for sharing!
