Prototype Bourbon Cabinet

author-gravatar obryan2579 Nov 03, 2019

This Pine and ash bourbon cabinet is a prototype. There are a couple things with the dimensions I am going to change. Overall I’m happy. I used a thickness planer for dimensioning, but other than that it’s completely hand tooled and jointed. #handtoolsonly #simplewoodworking #dovetails

Nice! I would suggest some sort of "lip" for both the bottle area and the area below (which I assume is for glasses) that keeps the bottles and glasses from sliding out. Possibly even a fitted hole/recess? Also higher end bourbon's have a cork which should be stored on its side (like wine). I'd love to see a detailed close-up of the glass inset to the door if you have one.

Awesome! Thanks for the suggestions. I like the idea of the lips
