I started this project when I was attending the Northwest Woodworking Studio Mastery Program. I was about 7 months pregnant and because of that I had to stop working about another month into it. It sat around my shop for a few years just waiting for me to be able to finish. The stain glass is custom made from a maker in Mexico that my husband picked up for me after attending his father's sudden death. So this piece is very special to us as a family as it holds memories and is a true labor of love. The majority is made from Walnut and the top and door panels are from Zebrano wood. The bottom and under lip of the top is from Curly Maple.
