I made a few of these lamps but this is my favorite. I had cut the wood too long and so I needed to figure out how to make this lamp still work. I ended up with these gapped sides and have decided that I love the look. It isn’t a big enough gap to look like a patch up or a mistake. It looks intentional and beautiful. I added a “floating” top grid to tie it all together.
