Traditional Snow Sled
This past Christmas was my daughters first, I wanted to make sure it was special and start a new tradition of making at least one gift for her. I had recently built a new steam box and thought that a bent-wood sled would be the perfect gift. The sled is made of Red Oak that I cut and milled on our farm, and the walnut was cut and milled by my Grandfather on his farm, and some of the hand tools used in the construction were owned by my Great-Grandfather, truly a generational project. This was also my attempt at mortise and tenon joints, which are used to hold the runners to the sled frame.
