Great project. Do you have any pictures of the bottoms of the shelf that keeps the magazine from falling out of the bottom?
Really great design. The vertical drawer is a nice touch!!
Thanks!! It’s 17x24. Ive been happy with that size for my space and drill press.
Excellent job; what are the dimensions of the table?
Very nice work! Simple but elegant. Keep it up.
Wow fantastic! I love how you found the perfect wood color variation and then book matched the grain on the board. Very creative! And that glue-up is almost as complex as a segmented bowl glue-up! Good job!
It is a friction wax and polish. Shellawax is the brand name i think.
I've just gotten into turning myself. Looks beautiful! What is the finish?
Thank you! I really do like those two species together.
Great looking piece. The Walnut and Cherry work so well together.

The box is 11x6x3. BLO is a close guess. I went with Danish oil and wax on this one. It was a first for me. For the there are no felt feet. I made the rabbet deeper to make the base of the box sit proud of the box sides. This elevates the box about an 1/8” giving a cool shadow line. Ill see if I can add a picture to the project to show you what I mean. Thanks for the positive feedback.
Great design really nice box! What are the dimensions. I'll guess BLO for the finish. Are there felt "feet" on the bottom?
I used Watco Danish Oil. I had never used it before and I wanted to try something a little different. It defiantly darkens up the wood. I think also letting the cherry age for a few years helped to darken it.
Love the color of this box. What finish did you use to get such an awesome deep rich color on both species?
Yeah I think you built yours not long after mine and I kind of wish I would have seen yours first. I would have taken a little inspiration from yours. I think I am going to add some “crubber” to the top of mine. That was a great idea.
That's a nice sharpening station. Having just built one I realized that I needed something like that years ago. Thanks for sharing.
Great design. I agree the wooden pulls were the right choice.
Thanks so much for the kind words. It took me probably 3 months to get it mostly done as woodworking is just a hobby for me. But it is still somewhat of a work in progress. I used I think 10-15 sheets of ply which will make up the bulk of the cost. I found cheap drawer slides on eBay that work really well. And hinges and handles on amazon.
Wow this is flippin’ amazing... I’m drooling. I want to build one just like it! How long did it take you and could you give me a rough estimate on material costs? Again, aaammmaaazzziiinnnggg work!-Andrew

I think I used 10-15 sheets total but that’s a rough guess. I’ll see if I still have the drawing and add the other page to my post if I still do.
This Is AWESOME! Roughly, how many sheets of plywood did this take? And can you PLEASE post the top page of the drawing? I can not see the whole drawing.

I’m afraid I don’t have plans and can’t claim the design. Check out Jay Bates on YouTube. This is modeled after his design and modified for my needs.
Yeah purchaseable plans would be great
I love to get the plan what is the cost?
It’s 3/4 maple plywood.
Looks great! What materials did you use?
Great work! very cool piece!!!
LOL Thanks Sean!
Awesome looking miter station! So much room for activities!
I think they are fir 2x4s but it is hard to be sure. Just picked the best ones i could find from Home depot and Lowe's. The wheels are from amazon.
I guess I built my bench to early for the build off huh?
Sweet bench! I've got the bug now. Is that Fir? Think I'm going to do the Dusty Life Bench Build-off. Also, were are those wheels from? Thanks for sharing.
