End Grain Sushi Boards

author-gravatar jamesn23 Dec 29, 2018

I made these Sushi Boards out of Walnut, Padauk, Ipe and Ambrosia Maple. This was originally going to be an end grain cutting board. However, due to some mistakes that wasn’t going to be possible, so I cut up the cutting board and made 3 sushi serving boards out of it! I then added some Japanese inspired feet to the bottom, made out of Bocote. I also hand carved 3 chopstick rests out of Gaboon Ebony. I then paired each board with a set of hand painted bamboo chop sticks and a small ceramic bowl for soy sauce (I didn’t make the bowl or chopsticks).
