Walnut Box With Cherry Inserts

This was a weekend project. Saturday and Sunday got it mostly done and just finished it during the week. I put around 5 coats of gloss polyurethane which really makes Walnut pop. It was finished with a lambswool bonnet on my Makita dual-orbit variable speed sander using 3000 grit polishing compound. The inside pieces and tray are Cherry and I used an insert held in only by friction. Trays and bottom are lined with suede.
