Birch Veneer And Concrete Table Lamp

author-gravatar cwesping Jul 30, 2015

I was doing repairs on some stairs and decided to try and do something with the leftover concrete. I made a simple mold for the foot of the lamp from scrap wood, I had hoped the wood would leave a nice imprint on the concrete, but I think I used a mix with too big particles.

The veneer is  0.5mm birch, which lets through a lot of light and gives off beautiful warm light.

Some homemade reinforcement, probably overkill but I'm playing safe

Put some birch plywood on top to hopefully get some nice wooden texture on it
