Wood mallet in maple, rosewood and brass. I’ll use this primarily for chisel work. A take on the blue spruce round mallet. The handle is joined with a 2” tenon, the head has a 2” mortise to accept it. A threaded rod extends into the head and handle to strengthen the joint. It is all held together with epoxy. The brass was flat bar stock that I drilled, cut to rough shape with a hack saw and then turned to final shape after the whole piece was glued together.
