Tree Silhouette Box
This is a box I made from pine that was cheaply available from my local hardware store, it was my first foray into wood carving, so I decided to pick a simple silhouette design to go with. How it worked was I printed out the design, traced that onto the timber, and the carved that out with a couple of small chisels, one of which was actually a small screw driver I sharpened into a chisel to get into the tight corners. The box was joined with dowels, so at the end I decided to cover them with brass studs to make it look nicer.
