Vertical Chess Game

I enjoy making wall mounted chess games, I have made 3 of them and have 2 more on the way.
this one is made from Cherry and the checker board is oak
I went with a pull out draw on this one
this one is made from all oak
I went with sliding doors on the bottom to put in the game piece's
this one is made from just pine.
My son wanted his chess game black and white
just making sure that the ends are strait
dry fit before I burnt the wood

this is after I put on 7 coats of tung oil and 4 coats of poly (burnt pine)

Nice project and a great idea. My father once made one which had magnets instead of shelf's.
