Cherry Side Table
Earlier this year I started working with Felder and they sent me a Hammer N4400 bandsaw in exchange for some video work. What better way to really get to know your tools than to use them which is exactly the purpose behind todays video. I had some S3S lumber in the rack so all I needed tool-wise was the bandsaw, miter saw, plunge router, jointer plane, and shoulder plane.

In the video I showed what cherry turns in to with some time in the sun. The table on the left was designed and built several years ago and has seen sun every single day since. The table on the right will catch up soon enough.
Really nice Sean! That design would also work for an outdoor table in Teak.
Cherry gets a lot darker with age. That dresser I am making has already turned quite a bit. Same thing with the Cherry picture frames already much darker.
That's a terrific little table. I like that you are planing rather than sanding so much.
I like the tennon technique on the band saw too.
Thank you! Yeah I love working with Cherry. It's like a fine wine, gets better with age haha.
Thanks Tim! The planing on narrower parts is just so much quicker with a properly tuned plane.
Really nice table Sean. Love that cherry. Cool video too. 👍👊
Thanks, Mike!
