Although an ambitious first project, here are a couple of shaker style end tables that I built using cherry lumber (as you can see, cherry is one of my favorite wood species). I followed a set of plans to build these end tables out of Wood magazine. I built a set of these end tables.

The tables were finished with a satin varnish.
