Custom Designed Shoe Rack

This shoe rack was designed to fit in a walk in closet with the final dimension needing to be 60" wide x 17" tall. The primary woods used in this build was cherry with the top being walnut.
Joinery used to build this shoe rack are typical mortise and tenon, with the top attached using table top fasteners. The tops edge profile was routed using a bearing guided router bit. As for the finish, I used medium-sheen Waterlox varnish. Applied a total of 3 coats and buffed the final coat out with wax.
