Scrapwood Pizza Peel
This is a pizza peel I made for the /r/woodworking scrap wood challenge. I made it for my father-in-law, who is a borderline obsessive homemade pizza maker. I used scraps from every project I've built since getting somewhat serious in woodworking about a year ago.

Sorry I did not start taking pictures sooner. This project started with taking all my tiny scrap boards that were under 1 bf, and planing them to similar thicknesses. I then squared the ends, and started ripping them into edge grain pieces of similar widths. Here I am starting to arrange them into a panel.

More arranging . . .

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the ugliest glue-up in history! I was amazed by how flat this did end up turning out.

I then cut out the rough shape with a jigsaw, shaped the front taper with my jack plane, smoothing plane, and card scraper.

I then used my block plane to start giving the handle a slight round for comfort.

More rounding . . . I need a better workbench . . .

Starting to get to final shape. I spoke shaved the curves more, as you can see they are a bit uneven. They still ended up not perfectly symmetrical in the finished piece. A lesson for next time.
