Dovetailed Blanket Chest
This blanket chest may look simple in it's design, but features solid joinery that will last a lifetime. It is approximately 42" long, 20" deep and 22 7/8" tall but feel free to modify the plans to fit your needs.
In this series I will show you how to cut dovetails by hand, layout and cut breadboard ends with drawbore pins and cut mortise and tenon joinery for the base. And speaking of the base, I show you how I dye the base using NGR dye and finish the whole blanket chest using a wipe on varnish.
