I get mine from K&J magnetics. I got the source directly from Wyrmwood gaming, which is what i based my design off of. They work great!
Thank you! The handles are actually painted aluminum. The carcasses are actually just Russian Birch ply (1/2 inch thick), but I will admit that it looked better than the usually stuff I find at the big box stores. The slides are Tobinice, I have used that brand for everything I've made in the last few years and they have held up every bit as well as Blum without the Blum price tag!I'm glad you like it! Go on YouTube and search for Shaun Boyd's version of this desk. He has a great video of a desk very similar to mine.
Wow love it! Are the drawer handles ebony? Are the drawer carcasses Cherry? Last question - drawer slides - Blum? Or something else? I have a desk to make this year (for myself) so looking for ideas. 1

Thank you! I was very pleased with them, it took a while to get my set up tuned in enough to do it, but it was worth it!
Those mitered corners came out amazing!
Damn, that is cool. And here I am needing to cut a 45 degree angle 3 times before I get it right.I love it!
Most definitely! That is what we ended up using, but we were having trouble keeping it from springing upward because of the profile shape. My wife rigged up a quick jig that kept it from doing that luckily. Band clamps were definitely the tool for the job!
For future frame glue-ups I suggest band clamps.
Wow, I love it. This really helped me with a cabinet build that I am doing currently as well. Great post.
The contest only had one winner but I built the contest system to have 3 so I had to choose his piece for all 3. It's a bug I have to fix haha.
Gotcha! I was really impressed with this contest, and this piece is great. If that is the case, its not too shabby to show it off 3 times :)
This is stunning, and absolutely deserves the prize. Very beautiful. I hope I can get an ounce of the skill that is shown here in my lifetime.But... Did this really win 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place??? Or is that an error? There are some really great pieces in the contest.
Wonderful! I'm a fan of David Picciuto, and this gives me vibes of his style.Very cool! Gives me nostalgia vibes of recording songs off the radio way back in the day that my mom wouldn't let me buy :)
Those are incredible! As a woodworker and a D&D player, I am very envious of these. Awesome stuff.
My guess is you are a Steve Ramsey fan? I just saw him make that puzzle a week or so ago. All three look fantastic! My pen mandrel was just delivered today, so I hope I can make something half as nice!Awesome stuff!
This is incredible! Beautiful piece of artwork. I've never tried any segmented pieces, but this makes me want to start the process of trial and error.
Here's is my work in progress.
Thanks for this video! I'm waiting for my t tracks to come in but otherwise nearly done. Made a couple changes to fit my needs but your instructions were great.
Here was my last drill press table ;)
My wife likes to carve spoons while I'm puttering around the wood shop. She will love this! As do I!
Wow! That is so much more complex than my first glance. Amazing.
I love both of them, but that second one pictured is so cool! Nice work!
1. That is awesome!
2. You are quite a good neighbor! I always have people come by and ask me to fix a drawer or glue something back together, but this is over the top neighborly.
Thanks Sean! Right after I left this I saw you posted a Q and A and covered this question. I appreciate the help on both fronts. So far I've only looked at grizzly and jet but I'll see what the Felder sticker shock is like.
Thanks for helping a novice like me! Really appreciate the community you're building.
